Finding funding resources is challenging at best and frequently downright frustrating. To help ease the challenge of finding grant dollars, below is a list of resources that provide information on grants, grantwriting, and/or other funding sources. Please note that the list provided does not represent an endorsement of any of the following sites, organizations, or resources.
World Wide Web Resources
The Chronicle of Philanthropy - www.philanthropy.com/ - Hosted
by the Chronicle of Philanthropy, this site has information on current issues in philanthropy. The site also provides links to various grantmaking organizations.
The Community Toolbox - ctb.lsi.ukans.edu/ctb/part-i1.htm - The Community Toolbox offers useful information on grantwriting and proposal development, as well as links to various funding sources and
other resources. The Environmental Protection Agency - www.epa.gov/epahome/grants.htm - This site provides information on
grant and fellowship opportunities through the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) including information on the Brownfields program and environmental education. Make sure to check both
federal and regional programs. The Foundation Center - www.fdncenter.org/ - Hosted by the
Foundation Center, a nonprofit organization that seeks to foster public understanding of the foundation field, this site contains a guide to funding research, an orientation to the grantseeking process,
information on how to establish a nonprofit, and an online library, as well as a "foundation finder" tool to find information on individual
foundations. In addition, this site also provides information on current trends in philanthropy. Foundations On-line - www.foundations.org/ - This site, hosted by
the Northern California Community Foundation, Inc., provides a list of foundations organized by foundation name. Additional features include information on fundraising events, software, and products as well as
government grants. Fundsnet - www.fundsnet.com - This site provides an alphabetized listing of funding and information resources, as well as grantwriting
tips, listings of useful publications, and electronic copies of their newsletter. Some of the options on this site require a membership (fee $49.95 a year). The Grantsmanship Center - www.tgci.com - This site, hosted by The Grantsmanship Center, provides information on grantsmanship training, low cost publications, and possible funding sources. GrantsNet
- www.os.dhhs.gov/progorg/grantsnet - Grantsnet is a tool for finding and exchanging information about the Department of
Health and Human Services (DHHS) and other federal grant programs including grant programs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Federal Drug Administration (FDA), and
the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). This site provides a link to the Federal Register, where you can research various federally sponsored funding opportunities.

W.K. Kellogg Foundation - www.wkkf.org - This site provides the latest information on W.K. Kellogg Foundation grant program information, on-line pre-proposal forms, and program-related resources.
